A new "Aagadu" teaser has been released on the special occasion of superstar Mahesh Babu's birthday.
Mahesh Babu, who began his film career as a child artist, made his debut as the lead hero in the 1999-release "Raja Kumarudu." The actor's charming looks earned him the "chocolate boy" title. After doing several romantic entertainers, Mahesh turned into a mass action hero with films like "Pokkiri" and "Athidhi." Some of his notable films include "Dookudu", "Businessman", "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" and "Okkadu" among others.
Mahesh is currently working in "Aagadu" under Sreenu Vaitla's direction. The film's shooting is progressing at a brisk pace and is expected to be wrapped up soon.
"Aagadu" is touted to be an action entertainer with commercial elements like punch dialogues, action, romance, songs and comedy. The film will have the actor playing the role of a cop. Tamannaah has been paired opposite Mahesh for the first time. She will be appearing in the role of a village girl who runs a sweet shop. The film boasts of an ensemble cast including Rajendra Prasad, Soonu Sood, Nadhiya, Brahmanandam, Sai Kumar and M.S. Narayana.
Shruti Haasan will be seen doing a special song in "Aagadu." The film is produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara under 14 Reels Entertainment banner.
The first look teaser of "Aagadu" was released in May for actor Krishna's (Mahesh Babu's father) birthday. The teaser received fantastic response from fans and the new teaser released today will definitely be a big treat for the actor's fans.
A lot is riding on "Aagadu" as Mahesh and director Vaitla have teamed up for the second time post the stupendous success of "Dookudu." Music composer Thaman has joined with actor-director duo once again to work on the film's sound tracks. The film's audio launch is expected to take place in September in a grand manner.
"Aagadu" is all set to hit screens on 26 September. It will be Mahesh's second release of the year after Sankranti film "1 Nenokkadine." While the psychological thriller was critically-acclaimed, the film failed to score big at the box office. It needs to be seen whether Mahesh's fans will be impressed with "Aagadu."
