PVP Cinema has announced its second production with superstar Mahesh Babu on his 41st birthday. This movie marks his second combination with director Vamsi Paidipally after "Oopiri."
For the first time, Param V Potluri, the boss of PVP Cinema, teamed up with Mahesh Babu for the movie "Brahmotsavam." Released in theatres on May 20, 2016, the movie opened to a good response, but later bombed at the box office due to poor word of mouth. The distributors and producers suffered huge losses from the film.
Weeks after its release, it was rumoured that Mahesh Babu had agreed to do another film with PVP Cinema to compensate for the loss of "Brahmotsavam." The project would be a bilingual film to be made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil and Vamshi Paidipally would direct Prince in the movie. However, none of the three people had made an official confirmation about the movie.
On the occasion of his birthday, PVP Cinema â€made an official announced its second project with Mahesh Babu. The producer posted a poster on official Twitter handle of his production house and wished the actor. He tweeted: "Many Happy Returns of the Day to our Super Star @urstrulyMahesh #HBDSuperstarMAHESH #MaheshBabu."
Though the producers' comment does not say anything about their next project together, the poster offers a brief hint at the film. The poster states that the movie will be the production no 18 for PVP Cinema and it will be directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Param V Potluri and Kavin Anne. It is not clear when this movie will go on the floors and what would be the cast and crew of the movie.
After "Brahmotsavam," Mahesh Babu has gone on to team up with director AR Murugadoss for a bilingual project, which is being made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The principal shooting of the movie was kick-started by the team on July 29. After wrapping up this film, Prince is likely to take up his next project with PVP Cinema.
