Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu may team up with "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" ("SVSC") director Srikanth Addala once again, according to latest reports.
A source close to director Srikanth has told IANS that Mahesh Babu has liked his story and has also evinced interest in working with him.
"Mahesh really liked Srikant's new story. He even expressed his interest to work with him after he completes all the projects in hand. If all goes well, we can expect this film to go on floors next year," a source told IANS.
Mahesh is currently busy with his new project, directed by Kortala Siva of "Mirchi" fame. The film touted to be a commercial entertainer will have Shruti Haasan playing the female lead. Devi Sri Prasad takes care of the music, while Mythri Movies is producing the project.
Mahesh, who is going through a tough phase with back-to-back failures, will be hoping to resurrect his career and prove his box office mettle by scoring a hit with the Siva directorial.
After completing the untitled Siva project, Mahesh is expected to commence shooting for a film to be directed by Puri Jagannadh. The director is working with Jr NTR for an action entertainer tentatively titled as "Nenorakam." The film is likely to hit screens for Sankranti 2015. Once this project is completed, Puri will start the work on his next film with Mahesh. The project, reportedly titled as "Rogue," is likely to go on floors in May 2015 as Mahesh will be busy with Koratala Siva film till then.
With the completion of these two projects, Mahesh is expected to team up with director Srikant for the second time. There will be big expectations for the film as the actor-director's last release "SVSC" turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. "SVSC," a family entertainer which hit the screens in 2013, minted more than ₹50 crore and is one of the highest grossing Telugu films all time.
Fans will be expecting another hit from the actor-director duo if the film goes on floors. An official announcement regarding the film is still awaited.
