Even before Mahesh Babu's film "One" could hit the screens, speculations about his next project "Aagadu" have begun to surface.
Latest buzz in the Telugu film industry is that "Aagadu" will be launched next week. Earlier, it was reported that the film's launch will take place during the Vijayadasami holiday, but the makers of "Aagadu" - Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara - decided to delay it to next week.
Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, "Aagadu" will have Tamannah playing the female lead for the first time opposite Mahesh.
Expectations for the film are quite high as Mahesh-Sreenu's 2011-release "Dookudu" was a massive hit. The action-comedy entertainer received positive feedback from critics and audience alike.
With the director-actor duo teaming up again, one would expect their film to be a successful one. It remains to be seen if they will be able to recreate the magic of "Dookudu".
Mahesh is currently busy with his upcoming project, "One - Nenokkadaine", directed by Sukumar. Debutant Kriti Sanon plays the female lead opposite Mahesh. Kelly Dorji, Nassar, Pradeep Rawat and Sayaji Shinde feature in supporting roles. The shooting of the film, touted to be a psychological thriller, is progressing at a brisk pace and the post-production work is expected to begin soon.
The film is all set to release during Sankranti in January 2014. The Mahesh Babu starrer will not have a solo release during the festive period. Apparently, the film will face strong competition from Allu Arjun's "Race Gurram", which is also likely to hit the screens during the Sankranti festival.
