Superstar Mahesh Babu has finally revealed the release date of his much-awaited movie SpyDer. He also added that he is gearing up to launch the first look teaser of the film on May 31.
SpyDer has been creating ripples in the media for all the good reasons ever since director AR Murugadoss announced the venture. Mahesh Babu's fans are eagerly waiting to watch the film in theatres, but the movie, which was initially set to hit the screens on June 23, was postponed a couple of times. Several speculations were made about its new release date, which added to the confusion among film goers.
Mahesh Babu took to his Twitter handle on Sunday night to clear the air. He revealed that SpyDer will be released as a Dussehra treat on September 29. He also said that he will release the teaser of the movie on Wednesday. The superstar tweeted: "#SpyDer will come to you this Dussehra ! Let's get the party started with the first glimpse on May 31st at 5 PM :)"
SpyDer is a spy thriller movie, written by director AR Murugadoss. Mahesh Babu plays an under-cover agent in the film, while Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as his love interest. The first look of Prince has created a lot of curiosity about the film, but the delay in its release disappointed his fans. Now, the makers are set to release its teaser on May 31 to put their questions to rest.
Interestingly, May 31 happens to be the 74th birthday of Mahesh Babu's father, superstar Krishna. Prince is releasing the teaser of SpyDer as a birthday gift for his father.
Currently, SpyDer is said to be in the final leg of its shooting and the makers have already started its post-production works. The climax portions of the movie feature a lot of special effects, for which AR Murugadoss signed up VFX supervisor Kamal Kannan, who has earlier worked on projects like Eega and Magadheera.
