Mahesh Babu has emerged as the most-searched Telugu actor on Google over the last decade. The actor has beaten other popular Telugu stars including Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Chiranjeevi.
Allu Arjun is ranked second in the list followed by Prabhas, Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. However, other top stars like Ram Charan and Jr NTR do not feature in the top five list.
In terms of most googled Telugu stars of 2014, Mahesh Babu once again tops the list. He is followed by Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan.
Mahesh Babu
Despite having two back-to-back flops – "1 Nenokkadine" and "Aagadu"-- Mahesh Babu's popularity seems to be on the rise. The actor was chosen as the most desirable man of 2013 through the Times of India poll. He also features in Forbes India's "Celebrity 100" list released this year. Mahesh is ranked 30th in the list much ahead of several other south celebrities including Vijay, Ajith, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Rajinikanth among others.
Allu Arjun
Allu Arjun is on a roll with the success of his 2014-release "Race Gurram." The film is still the highest grossing Telugu film of 2014 and as there are no big releases in the coming days, it will remain on top. The actor will next be seen in Trivikram Srinivas's directorial, which is one of the most-awaited Telugu films of 2015.
Prabhas
Despite not having any releases this year, Prabhas has managed to stay in the limelight. The actor is currently working in Rajamouli's "Baahubali," a historical drama with Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tamannah Bhatia in pivotal roles. The film is touted to be the costliest ever made in the history of Telugu cinema. It will be a two-part film and the first part will release next year. The second part will hit the screens in 2016.
Pawan Kalyan
Power Star Pawan Kalyan will not have any release this year. The actor, who joined politics and launched his Jana Sena party, was busy with his political commitments during the 2014 Lok Sabha Polls. As a result, his film commitments took a back seat but now the actor has shifted his focus on his upcoming projects. He is currently shooting for "Gopala Gopala," which will be releasing in 2015. The actor's much-awaited film "Gopala Gopala" is all set to go on floors soon.
Chiranjeevi
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who has been away from the silver screen for the last few years, is all set to make a comeback with his 150th film. Details about the film's director and other cast, crew members are still awaited. Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan is expected to produce the film.
Ram Charan
Ram Charan had two releases this year "Yevadu" and "Govindudu Andarivaadele" ("GAV"). While "Yevadu" turned out to be a hit, "GAV" is said to be an average grosser. The actor is yet to announce his next project, though reports have emerged that he will be teaming up with director Srinu Vaitla for the first time.
