Recently, there were rumours doing the rounds that Mahesh Babu-Koratala Siva's film will be titled as "Magaadu".
However, director Siva has clarified on his Twitter page that the film's title has not yet been finalised. He also stated that the details about his upcoming project will be revealed soon.
"No titles as such are in consideration for my movie. Request to media and fans to pls ignore the rumours. Will update all the news soon," Siva tweeted.
The film was launched in August in the presence of celebrities, including VV Vinayak, K Raghavendra Rao and M Syam Prasad Reddy. The shooting of the untitled project is set to commence from 9 October.
This is the first time Mahesh is teaming up with director Siva of "Mirchi" fame. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead opposite Mahesh for the first time, though she had shared screen space with the actor for a special song in the recently-released film "Aagadu".
Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Brahmanandam, Sampath and Mukesh Rishi are also reportedly part of the film's cast.
There will be huge expectations for Mahesh-Siva flick as the director's debut film "Mirchi" turned out to be a big hit at the box office. Mahesh is going through a lean phase with his last two releases - "1 Nenokkadine" and "Aagadu" failing to set the cash registers ringing.
"Aagadu", which hit the screens on 19 September, took good openings on the first day, but it failed to sustain its momentum due to mixed reviews. Its overall box office status is yet to be known.
Fans of Mahesh would be hoping that his upcoming film with Siva fares well at the box office.
UTV Motion Pictures was initially associated with the project, but now Mythri Movies banner will be producing the film. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the songs, while Madhie will be handling the cinematography and editing will be done by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The film is expected to hit the screens in 2015.
