The shooting of Mahesh Babu's forthcoming movie is progressing in Chennai at a brisk pace. The team has been filming here for over three weeks and shooting important portions of the film, which is simultaneously being made in Tamil and Telugu.
The latest buzz is that the makers have started planning about the film's release and it is reported that the flick is likely to be released on April 28. It is a special date for Mahesh Babu as it marks the 10th anniversary of his blockbuster film Pokiri.
Hence, they are keen to release the film on the same day. However, it has to be noted that the makers of SS Rajamouli's mega-budget film Baahubali had long ago booked the date for its release.
It means the Mahesh Babu-starrer is heading for a clash with Baahubali. But the industry experts feel that the producers of both the films might sit together and reschedule the releases as the clash will not benefit the movies at the box office.
Baahubali 2 is being simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu languages. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia are in the lead roles. The film is made on a budget of over Rs 130 crore. The first instalment was a blockbuster that grossed over Rs 600 crore worldwide.
On the other hand, Mahesh Babu's film is written and directed by leading filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The film marks the debut of the actor in Tamil. The flick has Rakul Preet Singh in the female lead and SJ Suryah in the role of a villain.
