Superstar Mahesh Babu's forthcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual movie, which will be directed by ace filmmaker AR Murugadoss, will reportedly be made with a whopping budget of Rs 85 crore.
The much-talked-about bilingual movie, which is yet to be titled, is reportedly produced by Thirupathi Prasad. Sources from the industry claim that this film will be lavishly made on a budget of Rs 85 crore. It will be the biggest budget flick in the career of both Mahesh Babu and director AR Murugadoss.
"This project will be made on a budget of Rs 85 crore, making it the most expensive film of Murugadoss's career. It will be shot predominantly against the backdrop of Mumbai, besides places such as Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai," Bangalore Mirror quoted a source as saying.
The pre-production works of the untitled movie is currently underway. Mahesh Babu and AR Murugadoss are now busy with Telugu film "Brahmotsavam" and Hindi movie Akkira, respectively. They will kickstart the shooting of their first combo movie after completing their projects. The sources from the industry claim that it is slated to go on floors on 14 April on the Tamil New Year.
It was rumoured earlier that this bilingual movie would be a sequel to Murugadoss' blockbuster Tamil film "Thuppakki" starring Superstar Vijay. But the source has denied the reports. "It's not a sequel, but you could call it the next level of Thuppakki. The makers are planning to release the film for Diwali," the source added.
Now, fans of Mahesh Babu and Murugadoss are eagerly waiting to know about the actress, who will be the leading lady of the hero. The names of several actresses are linked with this project, but Shraddha Kapoor and Keerthy Suresh seem to be the top contenders for the role. Santosh Shivan has been roped in to handle the camera work for the film.
