At least four people were killed including a factory staff and three labourers in an explosion at Central Ammunition Depot (CAD) in Pulgaon, Maharashtra's Wardha district on Tuesday, November 20.
Around 11 people have been injured and they have been rushed to the nearby hospital. According to the reports the blast took place around 7 am.
"As the Ordnance Factory in Khamaria does not have the adequate facility needed for controlled distraction, it was brought to a demolition near Central Ammunition Depot (CAD), Pulgaon, where it is generally done. The primary information suggests that the accident took place during this process," a defence official was quoted as saying by Indian Express.
"Three persons including a staffer of the factory have been killed and four more have been injured. The injured are being treated. Other the ordnance factory staffer, others are villagers," the official told the daily.
