A lovelorn couple reportedly committed suicide in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district. Their bodies were found early on Sunday hanging from a tree in an agricultural field, said the police.
Lakhan Patel, 21, of Tinsua village, was having an affair with a minor girl in his neighbourhood.
Both belonged to the same caste, said the police.
In a note found at the spot, they wrote they wished to marry and could not live without each other. However, as the society would not allow it, they were taking the extreme step, M K Verma of Baheria police station told IANS citing the suicide note.
