It has been a while since Madhuri Dixit danced to her legendary moves last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic "Devdas". Now, fans will be delighted to hear that the actress is set to perform a 'Mujra' number for an upcoming film "Dedh Ishqiya" after a long hiatus.
Madhuri, one of Bollywood's top actresses whose dancing skills remains unmatched, is all set to rewind the clock with a glimpse of her trademark moves in a classic Mujra song.
"Dedh Ishqiya" directed by Abhishek Chaubey will have Madhuri playing Begum Para. She will also perform to a song "Aapke Karar Mein". The film starring Nasserudin Shah,Arhad Warsi, Madhuri Dixit, and Huma Qureshi is the sequel to "Ishqiya" (2010).
"The song is ready and we will be shooting for it after we're done filming the entire movie. I can't reveal much but I'll say that it is a very elaborate number which will be shot on a big set," said producer Ketan Maru, reported Hindustan Times.
The Mujra item will be choreographed by Kathak master Pandit Birju Maharaj.
"I am doing a song with Madhuri again in Dedh Ishqiya after Maar Dala. She is a great dancer and it is always a delight to work with her," Maharaj had revealed to Press Trust of India, while speaking about his national award for his choreography in Kamal Hassan's "Vishwaroopam".
After a long sabbatical from films, Madhuri made a comeback in the musical "Aaja Nachle" in 2007. She was also a judge on a dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa"
The 45-year-old actress has also shaken a leg with Ranbir Kapoor in the upcoming "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani."
