Bollywood diva and dancing queen, Madhuri Dixit Nene, is set to join the league of actresses Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Mallika Arora to do her very first item song.
Madhuri will make her debut item song in Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's upcoming movie "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" (YJHD).
In a career that spanned over a decade in Bollywood, this is the first time Madhuri would be doing an item number, the details of which have not been revealed yet.
Post her marriage to Dr Shriram Chandra Nene in 1999, Madhuri relocated to United States. The actress made a comeback in 2007 with the movie "Aaja Nachle". Though the movie did not do well at the box office, Madhuri's role was appreciated.
The 45-year-old actress had again made a comeback after a break of seven years with two much-awaited projects - "Gulab Gang" and "Dedh Ishqiya," a sequel of "Ishqiya".
Madhuri has recently opened an online dance academy along with her husband. Speaking about her new academy the actresses said, "'Dance with Madhuri' is an academy where you can learn dancing step by step. It's very easy, personalized and interesting because it caters to all age groups. Further the digital platform helps me to reach out to a larger audience, spread the mantra of dance, and connect with my fans globally."
"YJHD" is a movie directed by Ranbir Kapoor's friend and "Wake Up Sid" fame Ayan Mukherjee. The movie which is set to release in May marks the comeback of ex-couples Rabir and Deepika together back on screen after 2008 release "Bachna Ae Haseeno".
