Japanese car-maker Suzuki has launched the Vitara Brezza compact SUV in Nepal, which became the second country to get Maruti Suzuki' compact SUV. The Vitara Brezza units for Nepal are manufactured in India. Suzuki's Nepal sales channel CG NXT|GEN has already started booking for the compact SUV, which is priced in local currency, starting at Nepalese Rupee 35.99 lakh.
The Nepal spec Vitara Brezza is identical to the one sold in India. The compact SUV is powered by 1248cc diesel engine that develops 88.5bhp at 4,000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The Vitara Brezza boasts best-in-class fuel efficiency of 24.3 kmpl. Vitara Brezza in Nepal will be sold in six variants -- LDI, LDI(O), VDI, VDI(O), ZDI, ZDI+.
Designed, developed and manufactured in India, the Vitara Brezza measures 3,995mm in length, 1,790mm in width, 1,640mm in height and wheelbase of 2,500mm. Vitara Brezza will go up against Mahindra TUV300 and Ford EcoSport in Nepal.
The compact SUV has been a stellar success in India. Maruti Suzuki has received over 1 lakh bookings so far and average monthly sales are around 8,000 unit at present. Despite being launched only in March this year, Vitara Brezza has become the best selling SUV in the country. Riding on Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki's utility vehicle sales also saw a drastic growth of 151.3 percent in July.
