Legion of Boom Feature Announced
EA Sports has announced the inclusion of the Legion of Boom feature in the upcoming Madden NFL 15.
After Richard Sherman, Seahawks' cornerback was announced as the cover for the game, for which he lobbied, along with another for getting the Legion of Boom on the cover and asked fans to start a petition. It appears that the calls were answered. This followed a nationwide online campaign via Change.org that roped in more than 9,000 signatures to get the Legion of Boom on the cover.
EA Sports listened to the petition started by Jason Coiner from Cleveland who started a Twitter account and a Facebook page.
EA Sports said that though it did not have enough time to change all the marketing materials and change the cover, Sherman will still remain on the cover. However, it said that the entire Legion of Boom will be put on the welcome screen.
For the fans, it was more than they could ask for. "They could have not done anything at all. But the fact of the matter is that any household you go into, when they start the game, they're going to see the Legion of Boom. I'm happy with that. I think it's a huge win for us," Coiner said, reported MyNorthwest.
Madden NFL 15 will be released on 26 August 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
