Once again Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) will have to balance between work and family as she prepares herself to tangle another crisis at the US State Department.
The official synopsis of "Madam Secretary" episode 4 titled "Just Another Normal Day", reads, "While Elizabeth works to successfully broker a peace treaty between China and Japan, a Chinese student seeking political asylum threatens the deal. Meanwhile, tensions rise at home between Alison and Stevie during Alison's sleepover party."
As Elizabeth gets entangled between her professional and personal crisis, she seeks comfort from her beloved husband Henry McCord, portrayed by Tim Daly, reported Cerulean Chronicle.
Though the last three episodes of the political drama did not focus much on the relationship between the Secretary of State and her husband, Daly recently revealed that "Madam Secretary" will explore more about McCords in its upcoming episode.
"The supportive, sexy relationship between the McCords is a treat of the new fall season. We will discover a lot about Henry that we don't know in the first several episodes. I think the interesting heart of the story, really, is what a great role model Henry is for men. [This is] the thing that will hopefully make this show stand out from some of the other political dramas," he told TV Line.
Meanwhile, a recently released 19-second-long promo of "Just Another Normal Day" begins with the introduction of the Chinese student, Fu Xinpei, portrayed by model Danni Wang. Xinpei seeks political asylum from the US Government and it creates tension between the US and China.
In the teaser video, Elizabeth informs Chief of Staff Russell Jackson (Zeljko Ivanek), "I'm getting enormous pressure from China to send her back."
However, it remains to be seen whether "Madam Secretary" will manage to protect Xinpei and succeed in signing a peace treaty between China and Japan.
Other guest stars to appear in the next episode of "The Good Wife" includes Megan Ling Greaves as Emily Ferber, Francis Jue as Chinese Foreign Minister Chen, James Saito as Japanese Foreign Minister Shimbakura, Edelen McWilliams as Amy Ferber, Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Pam Foster, Vikki Eugenis as Harper, Patricia Kalember as Senator Kate Fletcher, Kenneth Lee as Teacher, Sharon Gee as Fu Xinwan and Young-H.
