The trailer of Dhanush's upcoming movie Maari 2 has hit the internet with a bang on Wednesday, December 5. It is a colourful video packed with action and comedy with ample of punch dialogues.
Going by the trailer, Dhanush's characterisation has not undergone much changes and he still appears as a don with eccentric nature and a sense of humour. Be it his entry or the way he tackles his rivals, he is portrayed in style.
The trailer reveals that an old case of Maari is reopened by the cops even as he engages in a conflict with a baddie played by Tovino Thomas. Sai Pallavi, a fun-loving auto rickshaw driver, falls in love with the Maari and ties the knot.
With Maari 2 scheduled for release on December 21, the makers aimed to create a positive buzz around the Tamil film with its trailer. Indeed, the video from the Dhanush's film met with good response.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who is basking in the success of Thalapathy Vijay's Sarkar, has done pivotal roles. Vidya Pradeep, Krishna Kulasekaran, Robo Shankar and others are in the supporting cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music, Om Prakash has handled the cinematography, while Prasanna GK has edited the flick.
The movie is a sequel to 2015 hit movie Maari. Balaji Mohan, who directed the first instalment, is helming the project again.
