Reliance Digital has launched a new cheap smartphone LYF Flame 5 in India with a price tag of Rs. 3999. The handset comes just a few weeks after the launch of the 4G VoLTE-enabled Flame 3, Flame 4, and LYF Flame 6. Interestingly, all these handsets come with the same price tag.
To be made available on Reliance stores like Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress, the LYF Flame 5 sports a 4-inch WVGA display with 480x800 pixels (233 ppi pixel density), powered by 1.5GHz quad-core processor and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. It has a 4GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, a 512MB of RAM, a 5MP main camera with auto-focus and LED flash, a 2MP front-snapper, and 1,650mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, it cupports 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM (4G+4G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB connectivity.
The LYF Flame 5 has impressive specifications for its price but there are a few handsets like the Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus and Intex Cloud Fame that will give it a run for its money in Indian market.
Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus sports a 5-inch IPS LCD Capacitive Touchscreen with 480x854 pixels (196 ppi pixel density), powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and comes packed with an 8GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, and a 1GB RAM. It also has a 5MP main camera, a 2MP front-snapper and a 2,000mAh battery.
On the other hand, Intex Cloud Fame has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with 480x854 pixels (218 ppi pixel density), powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It also has features like an 8GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, a 5MP main camera, a 2MP front-snapper, and a 1,800mAh battery.
