Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year" may have failed to beat "Kick" at the domestic box office, but the film certainly created a lot more buzz than Salman Khan's film on internet.
Well, the Yahoo has released its most searched topics list in which "Happy New Year" has emerged as the most-searched Bollywood movie of the year. The King Khan's film has pushed the Salman Khan starrer "Kick" to the second position.
This clearly tells that "Happy New Year" had generated a huge hype around the film. Whether it lived up to the audience's expectations as compared to "Kick", will be a different question altogether.
After "Happy New Year" and "Kick", Hrithik Roshan's "Bang Bang" is in the next position and has become the third most searched Bollywood movie in 2014. Ajay Devgn's hit movie "Singham Returns" directed by Rohit Shetty is in the fourth position.
Ranveer Singh starrer "Gunday", Alia Bhatt starring "2 States", Mohit Suri directorial "Ek Villain", Varun Dhawan starrer "Main Tera Hero", Kangana Ranaut's "Queen" and Salman Khan starrer "Jai Ho" are the other films in the top 10 most-searched movies on the Yahoo in 2014. Surprisingly, Aamir Khan's yet-to-be-released "PK", which will be released on 19 December, has not found a place in the list.
Coming back to "Happy New Year" and "Kick", the films are the two biggest hits of 2014 in Bollywood. While the Shah Rukh Khan's film earned above ₹203 crore in India, the Salman Khan's film remained in the numero uno position by collecting ₹233 crore in the country.
