Bollywood celebrities queued up at polling booths on Thursday to cast their vote for the Lok Sabha Elections in Mumbai.
Amitabh Bachchan along with son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, Aamir Khan, Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, John Abraham, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Rahul Bose, Sunny Deol and Dharmendra among others turned up in the morning to cast their vote.
Balan, who was busy promoting the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA awards), voted on Thursday morning in Chembur, Mumbai.
"It is my responsibility and I hope things change for this country. Tomorrow if I point a finger at someone, there should be this voting mark on my finger," she told reporters after casting vote.
After casting his vote in Bandra, Khan told reporters, "Me coming out to vote is my duty as an Indian".
Actor Riteish Deshmukh voted on 17 April in Latur district of Maharashtra.
SRK, Bachchan family and Ranbir Kapoor are expected to vote
While some of the celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar and others cancelled their IIFA Awards appearance to vote for the sixth phase, some celebrities chose the award ceremony.
Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Shahid Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Boman Irani and Vivek Oberoi will not be casting their vote due to work commitments.
When asked if she would vote, Sinha she told NDTV: "I am leaving for IIFA tonight. Kaise (vote) karenge ab samajh lo yaar."
