It looks like Malayalam actor Mohanlal has reduced some extra weight for his upcoming movie "Loham" directed by Ranjith. The actor recently shared the picture along with director Ranjith and lead actress Andrea Jeremiah from the location of the movie.
His looks, in fact, surprised the audience as he looked fit and was obvious that he had lost oodles of weight for his next flick.
The movie, which will be shot extensively at various locations in Kozhikode, Kochi and Dubai is touted to be a crime thriller that deals with the subject of gold smuggling.
"Loham", which has tag-line of "Yellow Metal", is one of the most awaited movies by Mohanlal fans as they know what to expect from this combination. This is Ranjith's fifth movie with Mohanlal as director and their previous flicks include "Ravana Prabhu" (Ranjith's directorial debut), "Chandrolsavam" and "Spirit".
Spirit, which was released in 2012, turned out to be one of the most noticeable films of the year as it dealt with issue of alcoholism in Kerala. The movie fetched innumerable number of awards that year including National Film Awards for Best Film on Social Issue.
Reports are that "Loham" is the revised version of Ranjith's "G for Gold" which was dropped earlier. There were also reports of Manju Warrier being part of the movie, but was later dropped.
Director Ranjith has also ensembled an impressive star cast for the upcoming movie, which includes Ajmal Ameer, Siddhique, Renji Panicker, Harish Peradi, Mythili, VK Prakash, Tini Tom, Thesni Khan, Joju George, Gauri Nanda and Ashvin A Mathew.
The shooting of the movie had begun in 8 March at Kozhikode International Airport featuring Ashvin Mathew and Harish Peradi. The crew has now shifted to Kochi for the shooting along with Mythili.
"Loham' is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirwad Cinemas who had earlier produced Ranjith's "Ravanaprabhu" and "Spirit".
