Liverpool have been one of the best teams in the Premier League this season, playing some entertaining brand of football in the competition so far. So much so that they have become one of the title contenders. But they could not get their fluid game going against Manchester United, leading to a goalless draw on Monday. The Reds will have to move on from that game, and hope to come up with a solid performance against West Brom at Anfield on Saturday.
Manchester United stifled Liverpool and Reds' attacking players, including Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho, who could not shine against the Red Devils. And the trio may once again find a hard time when they face Tony Pulis' physical side. But they cannot fail in back-to-back matches especially after the way they have started the season, impressing all and sundry.
Reds' players will hope to entertain their supporters on Saturday with goals. Finding the back of the net has not been much of a problem for Liverpool this season, scoring 18 goals, with players like Firmino, Adam Lallana, Coutihno, Mane having being brilliant while moving forward.
Klopp had started with Sturridge up front in their last game, but one would not be surprised if Lallana comes back into the starting XI, and Firmino plays as the false number nine.
West Brom comes into this game as a confident unit after having managed to earn a single point against in-form Tottenham Hotspur in their last game. They currently lie in 12th place and a surprise win can help them climb higher up the table as well. West Brom are a quality side in dead ball situations and they will try to use that advantage against Liverpool.
West Brom might not have those huge stars, compared to Liverpool, but they have a genuine side that can deliver against the Reds. For that to happen, key players such as Salomon Randon and Nacer Chadli needs to be on top form in the offensive front, while Ben Foster has to be sharp in his goalkeeping duties as he is sure to be tested several times by the Reds.
