Liverpool are set to complete another summer move, with Adama Traore on his way to Merseyside from Barcelona to complete a medical before signing on the dotted line.
Brendan Rodgers has not held back as far as transfers are concerned this summer, and having brought in the likes of Christian Benteke, James Milner, Danny Ings, Roberto Firmino, Nathaniel Clyne, Joe Gomez and Adam Bogdan, the Liverpool manager is ready to add Traore to the squad, according to Talksport, who cite a report in Sport.
Traore has been tipped to leave Barcelona this summer, with several clubs showing an interest in the forward's signature. However, according to Gianlucadimarzio, Liverpool have beaten out stiff competition from Roma to sign the talented 19-year-old.
A transfer fee has not been mentioned, but it is not expected to be too substantial.
Meanwhile, Kolo Toure has backed Christian Benteke to fire in the goals for his new club. Benteke announced himself as a Liverpool player with a sumptuous volley in a 2-1 friendly win over Swindon Town, and the former Arsenal and Manchester City defender believes that goal will breed confidence in the Belgian.
"It was a fantastic goal and he had a good game," Toure told the club's official website. "It was his first game for quite a while and it was really important for him to score the goal.
"To score on your debut -- and what a goal it was -- can give him the confidence to go on and have a great season."
Toure believes Benteke is one of those strikers who give defenders nightmares, and is glad to be playing with him rather than against him.
"It is always difficult to play against a player like him -- he is really strong, he can hold the ball up, set the ball up for other players and can score goals, which is really important," added the Ivory Coast centre-back.
"I'm happier to have him on my side, definitely."
