Though top domestic leagues across Europe might have been done for the season, there is plenty to look forward this Sunday as top notch Liverpool and Real Madrid legends are going to be involved in a charity match at Santiago Bernabeu in Spain.
Big names such as Jamie Carragher, Jerzy Dudek, Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler from Liverpool, will be in action and Ian Rush will manage the legend team from England. Zinedine Zidane and Roberto Carlos from Real Madrid are just a couple of names that will make the occasion glamorous.
Despite the presence of stars and the scoreline it ends with, the game is played for a bigger purpose, as it is a fund-raising game.
Madrid president Florentino Perez also stated that Liverpool are one of the greatest clubs in world football with a number of European trophies to their name.
"Liverpool's biggest legends will be involved in the Corazon Classic Match 2015," Florentino Perez told realmadrid.com.
"They are one of the world's greatest clubs, with five European Cups to their name, and are greatly admired because of their past and present.
"This game is now close to the heart of our supporters. It is a traditional event and a celebration of football. We are working together with the fans for a charitable cause."
"I'm sure there'll be a lot of joking around before, but I think that hour or two before the game you're putting your kit on and getting ready, I think there'll be a few nerves and butterflies," Jamie Carragher from Liverpool told liverpoolfc.com.
"You don't play too often and you don't want to embarrass yourself, and it's also taking you back to your playing days."
With Jamie Carragher being one of the most loyal players for Liverpool, expect former Liverpool no.23 to give it his all, as he did during his playing days. He is someone, who will not make it easy for Zidane and co.
Despite being a charity match, Carragher will want to go back home with a victory under his belt.
