Kannada actress Amulya is bidding goodbye to her singlehood as she takes 'saptapadi' (seven steps) with Jagadish R Chandra on Friday, 12 May. The couple's wedding is being held in Adichunchanagiri Mutt.
The wedding is underway and the couple will tie the knot between 12.00-12.30 pm. The event is restricted to close relatives and friends of Amulya and Jagadish. A grand wedding reception is organised on May 16 which will be graced by bigwigs of film industry and politics.
A couple of celebrities were spotted at the marriage including senior actor Ramesh Bhat. Even though the ceremony was closely guarded, many fans thronged to the mutt premises to catch a glimpse of their beloved actress.
The bride was spotted wearing a traditional blue colour saree, while the groom donned silk shirt and dhoti.
The wedding celebrations for the couple kicked off with mehendi and sangeet ceremony on Wednesday, May 10. Shilpa Ganesh, the wife of actor Ganesh, organised the event at her Rajarajeshwari Nagar house, Bengaluru.
Amulya started her acting career as a child artiste in late Vishnuvardhan's Parva and turned a heroine in Ganesh's Cheluvina Chittara. The actress, who has earned a bachelor of commerce degree from Mount Carmel College, has worked in close to 25 Kannada movies. Naanu Nanna Kanasu, Shravani Subramanya and Gajakesari are some of her memorable films.
Shilpa Ganesh introduced Jagadish to Amulya. The friendship gradually turned into love with the support of Ganesh's wife. After a whirlwind courtship, the couple decided to take their relationship to the next level by tying the knot with the blessings of both the families.
