Arsenal are in a weird place right now. Not every single Arsenal fan will want their team to win on Wednesday at St. Mary's against Southampton and continue their quest to finish in the top four of the English Premier League.
The "Wenger out" brigade will want the results to go against Arsenal so that they have more ammunition to make their case for change come the summer.
There are also plenty of supporters out there, wishing their club would play in the Europa League, a tournament they might actually be able to compete in, next season rather than the Champions League, in order to avoid another last 16 meltdown.
However, the vast majority will still be rooting for their club, irrespective of the positive or negative vibes it might create.
There were some good vibes coming out of the Emirates on Sunday, after Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-0, with Arsene Wenger earning his first win over Jose Mourinho in a competitive match in the process.
That win kept Arsenal in the hunt for the top four, with the Gunners currently six points behind Manchester City, with this game in hand, and seven points adrift of Liverpool, with two games in hand.
So, the best bet for Arsenal in the top four race is for Liverpool to drop more points and for Wenger's side to win every single one of their remaining four games.
Starting with the one on Wednesday against a side that Arsenal don't have a great recent record against.
In five previous matches at St. Mary's in the Premier League, Arsenal have lost two and drawn three. So, that doesn't bode too well for Wenger and Arsenal.
Southampton, who frustrated Liverpool in their last game – with it doing Arsenal a favour – have nothing really to play for. They are safely perched in tenth in the table with no chance of qualifying for Europe, but another big Arsenal scalp will give them encouragement as they look towards next season.
"We know Arsenal. It's always a great team with fantastic offensive players," Southampton manager Claude Puel said. "But I think we can do a good game against this team – to keep, of course, a good structure, to defend together and to prevent chances.
"But also to have the ball and the possibility in the final third to find the clinical edge and to produce good football. It's important also in front of our fans to show our qualities."
