Get off the bottom of the points table will be the plan for the Rising Pune Supergiant as they face off against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday in IPL 2017 Match 24.
With all the other teams playing through the week, RPS would have watched on as they slid down to the last in the points table, having lost three of their first five games.
Having said that, though, a win against SRH on Saturday, and RPS will move all the way up to fourth, which just goes to show how easily a team can change their fortunes around by just putting on a bit of a winning run.
Steve Smith's side came out smiling from Bengaluru in their last match, when they impressively defended a total against RCB at the Chinnaswamy. On a slow wicket, RPS put on a really competitive score, before their bowlers, for once, were able to prevent their opponents from chasing it down.
RPS will know the pitch in Pune will be much more conducive to chasing, so the toss could prove to be really important.
There is no doubt that the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling attack is much better, so SRH might still be able to do well even if they end up having to defend a total. However, you feel, for RPS to make it two wins in a row, they need to win the toss and ask the Sunrisers to bat first.
SRH are third in the table at the moment, with four wins from six matches. The two losses suffered in IPL 2017 have both come away from home, with David Warner's side yet to taste victory outside Hyderabad.
That, obviously, needs to change if SRH are to end up in the top four come the end of the regular season, so executing those bowling and batting plans to perfection will be necessary.
What has let SRH down in those away games is their batting, and with Kane Williamson coming in and playing a brilliant innings against the Delhi Daredevils in their last match, the batting lineup does look a whole lot stronger.
Does that make the bowling a little weaker, though? Maybe.
However, with match-winners like Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the side, SRH are better off bolstering their batting lineup, particularly away from home.
