Final Score: Barcelona (Luis Suarez 53rd minute) 1-1 Real Madrid (Sergio Ramos 90th minute).
10.40pm: That's it from me. It's been fun. Have a great night, morning, afternoon, evening -- wherever you may be.
10.38pm: A sometimes entertaining, but overall a little disappointing first Clasico of the season. Real Madrid were the better team in the first half, Barcelona looked much better after Iniesta came on, even if they did score earlier. Real finally got the equaliser through their inspirational captain Ramos and, while they were second best in the second 45, it was a goal they'll feel they deserved overall.
10.37pm: And that's that, it is the fulltime whistle.
10.36pm: Wow what a goalline clearance from Casemiro for Real Madrid. A looping header looks like it was going in, but somehow Real Madrid keep it out and nothing comes with the counter at the other end.
10.32pm: Freekick from the left from Modric and it is the equaliser.
Goal Sergio Ramos. He might have failed to find the target with the earlier header, but not this time. Gets ahead of Mascherano, who stumbles and it is a free header from eight yards out, with Ramos thumping the ball in. What a crucial goal that could be from the Real Madrid captain.
10.31pm: Another big chance for Real Madrid. Ronaldo free at the back post as a cross comes in from the left. He just jumps a little too early, so doesn't get the power he wants and Barca escape.
10.30pm: Substitution Barcelona: Neymar off, Denis Suarez in.
10.30pm: Oh a chance for Ramos. Cross from the right, Ramos climbs and gets to the header first, but it just goes over the bar. Should have hit the target.
10.29pm: Substitution Real Madrid: Kovacic off and Mariano Diaz in.
10.26pm: Freekick won by Asensio with Busquets getting a booking for his challenge from behind. Modric with the freekick from the left, Poque gets to it first.
10.25pm: Seven minutes remain for Real Madrid to find an equaliser.
10.24pm: Oh my what a miss from Messi. Iniesta, who has been brilliant since coming on, plays Messi through and the forward, somehow skews his shot wide with his left foot. Should have found the bottom and would have nine times out of ten.
10.22pm: A roll from Neymar after a challenge from Carvajal and the Real Madrid right-back is given a yellow card.
10.21pm: Asensio's first contribution is a cross from the left, which is hooked clear by Pique.
10.20pm: Substitution Barcelona: Arda Turan on for Andre Gomes.
Substitution Real Madrid: Asensio on for Benzema.
10.19pm: That was a chance there for Real Madrid as Varane and Ramos jumped up for the header off a corner. But neither could make the right contact.
10.17pm: Suarez appeals for handball as Barca look to hit Real on the counter, but all he gets is a yellow card for complaining after a foul was given against him for a clear-as-day push.
10.15pm: 18 minutes remaining. Real Madrid need a bit of magic from someone here.
10.13pm: Just a bit more intent from Barcelona, who are looking to kill the game off. Another chance for Neymar, who sees his shot brilliantly blocked by Varane.
10.12pm: Space opening up for Barcelona as Real look for the equaliser. Iniesta hits the side netting off a deflection from Carvajal.
10.11pm: Oh my goodness what a miss from Neymar. He leaves Carvajal for dead by cutting in and with the goal gaping, goes for too much power which sees the ball fly over. Should have been 2-0.
10.10pm: A big worry for Real as Ronaldo holds his hamstring. Still playing on, but one to keep an eye on.
10.09pm: Substitution for Real Madrid: And it is a bit of a defensive one as Casemiro comes on for Isco.
10.08pm: Busquets is playing well, making some tackles, drawing some fouls.
10.07pm: Real Madrid pressing a little more for the equaliser, but Barcelona are defending well.
10.05pm: No substitutions yet from Real Madrid. Who will Zidane bring on?
10.02pm: Substitution -- Rakitic off and Andres Iniesta is on to make the most El Clasico appearances in history. Half hour for the playmaker.
10.01pm: Nice run through the middle from Kovacic and then finds Benzema with a through ball. Poor first touch means, Alba is able to get the ball away from the feet of the Frenchman.
10pm: Ooh almost a perfect Messi through ball, but the ball just runs away from Suarez.
9.58pm: So what have Real Madrid got here. They came back from a goal down last time, can they do it again?
9.55pm: A freekick for Barca down the left channel. Neymar with the freekick and it is the opener.
Goal Luis Suarez. Well, well. Barca have struggled, but they are in the lead. Neymar swings in the corner, Suarez finds space and plants a header home from six yards out. Around the same time Gerard Pique scored in the last El Clasico isn't it.
9.54pm: A powerful strike from Ronaldo on the angle with his left foot, flies well high.
9.51pm: Vazquez almost put through, but is flagged offside, incorrectly.
9.50pm: Iniesta is warming up on the sidelines. An early substitution in the offing?
9.49pm: First opening for Barca. Real give the ball away, Neymar gives the ball to Messi, who finds Suarez, but the striker can only win a corner. Rakitic's corner is a poor one.
9.48pm: And it is go time for the second half.
9.46pm: Barca players come out, with Real Madrid players already on the pitch, waiting to get the El Clasico underway again.
9.45pm: A couple of minutes for the second half. A little more attacking quality is what everyone will want.
9.33pm: If it was a boxing match, Real Madrid would be ahead on points. No goals to show for it though and Barcelona will know they need to play better. Real have nullified Messi, Suarez and Neymar quite well so far. Back in ten minutes.
9.32pm: Halftime and it is goalless.
9.31pm: Sergi Roberto at the other end gets a cross in from the right, Real have enough players to clear.
9.30pm: A beautiful touch from Isco gives him the space to start a counter. Benzema eventually puts the ball in from the left and Pique nearly hits it into his own net. Off the corner, Varane cannot get enough in the header to trouble Ter Stegen.
9.29pm: Last couple of minutes of what has been a gripping but goalless first half.
9.26pm: Messi is droping really deep in a bid to get more involved. Penalty appeal from Alba for a handball on Carvajal. Nothing given and would have been a touch harsh, even if the arm was out, so could have been given too.
9.25pm: Some magic from Ronaldo. Gets past Mascherano with a wonderful nutmeg, but cannot get power on his shot and a toe-poke is comfortably pouched by Ter Stegen.
9.23pm: First real shot in anger from Ronaldo. A quick counter and Ronaldo runs down the left, shoots at an angle, which Ter Stegen saves. The ensuing corner comes to nothing.
9.22pm: Messi swings the freekick in from the left, a little short and Real get it clear.
9.21pm: Freekick for Barcelona as Neymar is brought down from behind by Carvajal.
9.19pm: Let the theatrics begin. Vazquez makes a run down the right and after the ball gets away from him goes down like he is shot under something (quite possibly nothing) from Neymar. Looks like Lucas was just looking to get the player sent off there.
9.18pm: Cross from the right, a bit of chaos in the box as Ronaldo and Benzema fall down trying to take a shot. A strike eventually comes in from Marcelo, but it is skewed wide.
9.16pm: Half an hour gone and Real Madrid looking to trouble Barcelona in their own half, not allowing the home side to build up play too easily. They have played well so far. Barca need to step it up a little bit more.
9.15pm: Neymar loses his cool and stamps Vazquez on the foot for no reason. Clear yellow card. The booking means Neymar is suspended for the next game, against Osasuna.
9.13pm: Mascherano lets Ronaldo he is there with a barge on the back.
9.12pm: There was an incident between Mascherano and Ronaldo, which could have gone against Barca, as a ball over the top, at the other end, proves to be just too long for Suarez.
9.10pm: Dangerous cross from the left by Marcelo, Barca just about clear the danger.
9.09pm: Benzema's turn to swing the left peg, and again the shot is blocked.
9.08pm: Messi goes down under a challenge from Ramos, a legal one, but the Argentinian does stay down for a bit. No worries, though, he is back up soon enough.
9.07pm: Neymar scampers down the right, gets a cross in and Suarez takes a shot with his left foot, which is blocked by Raphael Varane,
9.05pm: Messi from 25 yards out, over the wall but not enough pace and Navas saves it easily.
9.04pm: Another foul by Modric, on Messi. The Real Madrid midfielder isn't happy, but a nice position to test Keylor Navas.
9.02pm: It isn't necessarily quality this game so far, but it is being played at a nice pace. Ronaldo gives Ter Stegen something to do with a glancing header, comfortable save for the Barcelona goalkeeper.
9.01pm: Almost another booking there for Real Madrid as Luka Modric gets a late challenge in.
8.59pm: There is a yellow card, the first of the game, for Isco,m who cynically brings down Neymar.
8.58pm: Suarez almost through, but is called offside, correctly. He boots the ball into the crowd in frustration. No yellow card.
8.57pm: There is a penalty appeal from Ronaldo as a corner comes and and kinda strike Rakitic on the hand, but not for me.
8.56pm: Big chance for Barcelona. Messi plays Neymar in down the left, Neymar slips, but still finds a cross and Sergi Roberto's cutback is put out for a corner.
8.55pm: Ronaldo defends Messi just for a second there. Would have been fun had he gone in for a tackle.
8.53pm: Neymar gets an early kick from Dani Carvajal. Wincing a little, but looks like he can run it off.
8.52pm: After a frenetic start, the game has settled down a little, with Barcelona, expected, seeing a lot of the ball. Most of it at their own end, though.
8.49pm: Is that a penalty? Lucas Vazquez goes down inside the box, but the referee waves play on. What a start that would have been. Ooh, Mascherano is a lucky man there. There was contact and it could have easily been a penalty. Plenty to talk about already, and Real Madrid will feel they should be 1-0 up by now, assuming, of course, Ronaldo would have slotted the penalty in.
8.48pm: A bit helter skelter the first couple of minutes. A lot of tackles fly in, and Real Madrid win the first freekick of the match.
8.46pm: And we're off, Real Madird kickoff the first El Clasico of the season.
8.45pm: A minute's silence is observed for the tragic air accident, that saw almost the entire Chapecoense squad pass away.
8.44pm: One more time, the starting lineups: Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Pique, Mascherano, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Andre Gomes; Messi, Suarez, Neymar.
Real Madrid: Navas; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Modric, Isco, Kovacic; Vazquez, Ronaldo, Benzema.
8.42pm: We're almost there. The players are walking from the tunnel and onto the pitch. The atmosphere inside the Camp Nou is, shall we say loud, just a wee bit.
8.32pm: Just to recap. The lead for Real Madrid is six points from Barcelona. So, a win for the away side here will extend their lead to a scary-but-not-out-of-sight nine, while Barca will want to get right back in there by cutting the gap to three points.
8.27pm: Just a little over 15 minutes for the start of the game at the Camp Nou (yes Camp Nou, not Nou Camp). Barcelona might have gone into third before the start of this match, but Sevilla have failed to win the early game in the La Liga, going down to Granada.
8.15pm: What is an El Clasico without some controversy, some red cards, some off the ball incidents.
8pm: Starting lineups: Iniesta does not start, he is on the bench.
Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Pique, Mascherano, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Andre Gomes; Messi, Suarez, Neymar.
Substitutes: Cillessen, Denis, Turan, Iniesta, Paco Alcacer, Digne, Umtiti.
Real Madrid: Navas; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Modric, Isco, Kovacic; Vazquez, Ronaldo, Benzema.
Substitutes: Casilla, Pepe, Nacho, James, Casemiro, Mariano, Asensio.
7.45pm: One hour to go to kickoff. It is slowly building, the buzz, and I'm sure the players cannot wait to get onto the pitch. While we wait, though, here is some essential El Clasico viewing.

7.22pm: Hello all you beautiful people, welcome to this fantabulous (is that still a word that people use?) wonderfully entertaining live blog of the always-entertaining-even-when-there-are-no-goals El Clasico match between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
This is a game that Barca need to win more than Real, what with Zinedine Zidane's men holding a six-point lead at the top, so expect Lionel Messi and the rest of that peerless attack go full tilt from the off.
Yours truly Deepak and IBTimes India will be there through the game, giving you all the thrills and spills, as it happens.
If they do, it should make the beginning of this match a whole lot more exciting than the last time these two teams met, when it was a stalemate at halftime, before fun got out of its slumber and decided to make its presence felt in the second 45.
All eyes will be on Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo, but one man missing will be Gareth Bale. For the rest of the team news, please do point and click your mouse HERE.
