The wait is finally over. Maroon 5 has released their new single Don't Wanna Know featuring Top Dawg Entertainment Recording artist Kendrick Lamar. The audio made its debut online on October 11.
"The band's new video is another unique, unforgettable, and undeniable visual clip," a statement on the Maroon 5's official website reads.
This is the first time Maroon 5 has collaborated with seven-time Grammy Award- winning artist Lamar. "No more police stop/No more hashtag boo'd up screenshots/No more tryin' make me jealous on your birthday/You know just how I make you better on your birthday, oh," Lamar contributes a verse.
"Do he do you like this, do he woo you like this/Do he let down for you, touch your pria like this/Matter fact, never mind, we'll let the past be/Maybe he's right now, but your body's still with me, whoa," he raps.
Directed by David Dobkin, who helmed Maroon 5's six-times-platinum selling single Sugar, the official music video will be released this week. The music video will premiere on NBC's TODAY Show also on October 14 and the band is scheduled to deliver the first television performance of Don't Wanna Know on November 3 episode of Ellen.
Don't Wanna Know is Maroon 5's first proper single after last year's This Summer, which failed to make an impression. Fans can stream or download the new single from iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon, and Spotify.
