The second movie from the "VIP" ("Velai Illa Pattathari") team has been making news since its announcement and the latest news on the untitled film has created a lot of buzz in the industry.
The gossip columns suggest that "Lingaa" director KS Ravikumar is roped in to play Dhanush's father in the upcoming movie. It must be noted that well-known director Samuthirakani has played father to Dhanush in "VIP"
"While director Samuthirakani had played Dhanush's dad in VIP, now, the team has roped in another well-known director, KS Ravikumar, to play a crucial role in this film. While the film's director Velraj chose not to reveal the nature of the character, it is said that the 'Lingaa' director will be playing the role of Dhanush's father in this as-yet-untitled film," reported The Times of India
However, the official confirmation regarding Ravikumar's presence in the film is still awaited. The ace film-maker is famed for making guest appearance in many films including his own and it would be interesting to see him in a full-fledged role.
The shooting had begun in February and film stars two heroines, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson.
Dhanush is currently on a break from the movie and the actor was spotted in a school-boy look in the film. Reports suggest that he will be spotted in a matured look by the second schedule, which is set to begin by June.
The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who had also worked in Dhanush's "3" and "VIP"
Meanwhile, "VIP" which was released on 18 July, was a huge hit and got positive response from both audience and critics. The film, which also starred Amala Paul, was directed by Velraj and produced by Dhanush.
