'Limitless' episode 22 watch live online: Brian's time at FBI is over as he dies in 'Finale: Part Two!!'; Season 2 plot revealed [Spoilers]

"Limitless" Season 1 has finally reached its finale, and going by the synopsis of the episode it looks like things will get quite dramatic and the focus will be on Sands.

Meanwhile, executive producer Craig Sweeny spoke to IGN about how Brian's days at FBI is over and how things will shape up in Season 2. When asked whether there's still a chance for Brian to ever come back to work with the CJC in a formal capacity, Sweeny said, "I think that unless something were to change fairly drastically, there would be no place for him there. His utility to them is as somebody who can take NZT without the harmful side effects... so Brian's time at the FBI is over."

Then, the executive producer continued talking about what they had in mind for Season 2. "We're going to make some changes to the show, but it will remain essentially -- we do find a way for it to be Brian taking NZT working with Rebecca and Boyle and a couple new members on the team, solving crimes and having fun a week-to-week basis. So despite the current state of things at the end of "Finale: Part One!" at the end of the season, we are in a different place, but not as radically different as it feels like what we're in right now," he said.

Last time, in episode 21, we saw Brian and his friends were left in a dangerous situation when DEA agent-turned-traitor Adam Brewster let Sands out of jail and Eddie Morra's operatives were blown to smithereens. Meanwhile, "Finale: Part One!" also showed how NZT came to public knowledge, and the elusive "Apocryphon" was still at large. And in between all this, Brian had to manage without his immunity shot.

In the season finale episode 22, we will see how Brian and the team will work to stop Sands and his cronies from carrying out an international incident. Though there is no promo, the synopsis of "Finale: Part Two!!" teases that Brian will be dealing with a stunning betrayal, and that his task of getting hold of Sands will become more difficult as his NZT immunity will start to wear off, causing devastating side effects.

Plot synopsis for "Finale: Part Two!!" (via TV Guide) reads: "Season 1 concludes with Brian dealing with a stunning betrayal as he and the FBI race to stop an NZT-enabled Sands and his associates from orchestrating an international incident of evil. Meanwhile, Brian also experiences devastating side effects when his NZT immunity begins to wear off."
