"Remaniyechiyude Namathil" (In the name of Remaniyechi), in a nutshell, is a crisp, thrilling short film that has the power to leave the audience in a state of shock.
Directed by Liju Thomas and shot in Vadakkanchery, "Remaniyechiyude Namathil" has gone viral on social media and has been receiving positive responses from many celebs and fans.

The film, which stars Arun Kumar, Babu and a cobra in lead roles, has been described as a 'must- watch' by many critics.
It tells the story of a man who falls into a well, inside which there is a cobra. The dangerous plight of the man and how he survives the ordeal is the plot of the hit film.
"Remaniyechiyude Namathil" has been receiving accolades for its fresh script and Shafi's cinematography, as well as the courage of the lead actor, who dared to act with an original snake.
The video, uploaded on YouTube on 30 June, has been watched more than 1 lakh times within 2 days of its release. However, the video was removed due to some technical issues and is uploaded again on 3 July.

The 10-minute film has also been honoured with many awards, including FEFKA Art Directors' Union's 'Short Film Fest 2015' and Kappa TV's 'Shoot An Idea Contest - Season 2', among others.
After the short film went viral on social media, in a recent interview with a leading daily, the director said that it was an original cobra and lauded the performance of the lead actor Arun, who is a teacher by profession.
Liju Thomas has earlier worked as an assistant director to VK Prakash, Joy Mathew and Aneesh Anwar.
