Despite being unable to perform well at the box office, the satellite rights of Dileep's "Life of Josutty" was bagged by Surya TV for a whopping price.
The family entertainer, which is a joint venture of filmmaker Jeethu Joseph and actor Dileep, could not live up to expectations of film-goers.
However, the strong foothold that the actor has among the family audience has helped the movie. Keeping this in mind, Surya TV has bought the rights of "Life of Josutty" for Rs 5.5 crore as the mini-screen viewers are mainly family audience.
Though the romantic drama is not an out-and-out comedy, it surely has humorous elements to entertain Dileep's hardcore fans. Also, unlike Jeethu Joseph's previous films "Drishyam" and "Memories", the latest film did not have any twists or suspense.
Jeethu Joseph and Dileep had teamed up for the second time after "My Boss", which was a laugh riot in theatres. The success of the 2012 film gave the duo the confidence to team up once again.
On the other hand, "Ennu Ninte Moideen", which released a week before "Life of Josutty", is set to become Prithviraj's first solo blockbuster.
