Consumer electronics major LG launched a new phablet dubbed as Stylus 2 Plus in India on Thursday.
As the name suggests, the new LG phone is an advanced version Stylus 2, which was released in May in India. It comes with major upgrades in four aspects such as display resolution, SoC (System-on-Chip), primary camera and RAM capacity.
The former comes with full HD (1920x1080p) screen, Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 430 octa-core CPU, 3GB RAM and 16MP camera on the back, whereas the latter houses HD (1280x720p) display, Snapdragon 201 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and a 13MP camera.
Rest of the key features such as front camera, mobile OS version and battery capacity remain the same in both the devices.
The highlight of LG's new phone is its Stylus functionality. It comes with dedicated features such as Pen Pop, which gives easy access to all the pen functions, Pop Scanner, a picture editing tool, Screen-Off Memo, which allows users to write Memos on phone screen without having to wake up the phone, Pen Keeper, that alerts the user when they forget to place the stylus back after use and many more.

The new Stylus 2 costs Rs. 24,450 in India, but the details with regard to the device's availability in the market is still under wraps.

Competition:
Considering the price and specification ratio of LG Stylus 2 Plus, it will be competing with popular brands such as OnePlus 3 (& 2), LeEco Max 2, Yu Yutopia, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, among others.
