LG's recently unveiled Series 3 L90 smartphone has been put up for sale on two online stores in India.
Earlier in the month, consumer electronics giant LG had announced the launch of its new generation Series 3 mid-range smartphone L90 in select markets soon. Now, as promised, the device has been made available in India.
LG Series 3 L90 was showcased at the recently concluded MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2014. The phone's main USP is that it boasts of gesture-control feature - 'Knock Code' - which used to be available only in high-end LG smartphones. With Knock Code, the user can switch on the phone by just tapping on the screen, using more than 86,000 combinations. The knock pattern can be entered on any area of the screen - whether the display is turned on or off - using anywhere from two to eight taps.
The phone also runs on the latest Android v4.4 KitKat OS and comes with IrRC (Infrared Remote Control) feature to help scroll through television channels, as well as control volume.
In terms of hardware, LG Series 3 L90 sports 4.7-inch qHD (960x540p) display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor, 450 MHz Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 8.0-megapixel camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera and a 2540 mAh battery.
As of now, the LG phone can be purchased at Snapdeal for ₹17,499, whereas Infibeam is currently taking pre-orders for the same handset for ₹18,990.
