LG launched a new entry level smartphone dubbed as Ray in Seoul, South Korea.
"Customers in 3G markets continue to be a priority for LG so we will continue to develop new products with these consumers in mind," said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
"No matter the country or the device, every LG customers will receive a unique user experience with a balance of design, performance and value," he added.
The new LG Ray sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720p) screen and runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop backed by 1.4GHz MediaTek Octa-core SoC (System on Chip) with 1GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and 3000 mAh battery.
It also features a 13MP camera with LED flash on the rear-side and a 8MP snapper on the front, which is certain to please selfie aficionados.
LG Ray availability details
The company has confirmed that the new LG Ray will be first released in CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) regions by this weekend and later in Latin America. It will be made available in three colour options – gold, silver and titan black. However, the price details of device are still under wraps.
