Even as LG is preparing for the release of its upcoming flagship smartphone G4 in a month or two, hype on its next new device dubbed as the G4 Note is gaining momentum. The release date of the Note device is expected to fall in the later part of this year but alleged images and other details of the purported device have been leaked.
The release date of LG G4 Note is expected to fall in the second half of this year though the South Korean company hasn't made any official announcement so far. LG mobile chief Cho Ju-no had said at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) event by saying that the company would release two premium devices this year, giving a hint that LG G4 Note could be a possibility.
Interestingly, alleged images of the LG G4 Note have been leaked by T-Mobile employee and XDA user s3rv1cet3ch and it shows the device with "a sleek metal body, a stylus and that the device is running Android 5.0.2", according to XDA Developers.
However, the leaked images are unlikely to be that of LG's large screen device – the G4 Note, as it looks like the device might not have reached this stage.
Not much is known on the features of the device but ZDNet (via G4Games) reported citing industry insiders that LG is planning to use metal case in its future smartphones, sparking of rumours that the G4 Note device could have it. Korea Herald (via 9t05Google) also reported citing sources that LG is planning to release the G4 Note this year and that it would come with a curved design and 3K display with 600ppi pixel density.
It may be mentioned that the LG G4 Note will have to fight out with other big devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and iPhone 6s Plus, which are also expected to be unveiled in the third quarter of this year.
