Earlier in the month, LG released the official Android Nougat update to its flagship phone G5. After the roll-out, the company is expected to expand it to V20, but there is no word on when the new update will be made available to former flagship phone G4.
Going by the previous release pattern, LG might release the Nougat update to 2015 flagship phone in the first quarter of 2017. If patience is not your best suit, you can install custom ROM created by popular developer community CyanogenMod. They have released a new batch of Android Nougat-based CM 14.1 series firmware to the LG G4 models.
The new CyanogenMod CM14.1 software is a little over 530MB in size and brings night mode, bundled notification, improved battery optimisation, multi-window options, performance tweaks, numerous exclusive themes (and wallpapers), short cuts and other value-added features to enhance user experience.
