LG G3 Stylus with 5.5-inch Display Unveiled; Price, Specification Details

South Korean consumer electronics major LG unveiled the new phablet dubbed as G3 Stylus on Tuesday, 26 August.

On the outlook, the design language of the LG's new phablet is influenced by the company's recently launched flagship device G3. It has same signature 'Floating Arc' body design with tapered edges, thin bezels and metallic skin.

And to help users for better navigation on the phone's big 5.5-inch display, company offers companion tool – Stylus with proprietary Rubberdium stylus technology, which is said to fit comfortably in any hand and is perfect for effortless jotting, doodling and sketching with precision.

For the uninitiated, LG G3 Stylus is no competitor to the upcoming Samsung flagship phablet, Galaxy Note 4, since the former is a mid-range device with less superior specifications.

Under the hood, it ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable), 13.0-megapixel camera, 1.3-megapixel camera and a 3,000 mAh battery.

"With its exceptional hardware and exceptional price that can't be beat, the LG G3 Stylus is in a category all by itself," said Dr Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

"The LG G3 Stylus is the perfect tool for consumers who don't want to be bogged down carrying a laptop, tablet and smartphone. It gets things done and lets you have fun while doing without having to compromise on quality, style or user experience," he added.

The new LG G3 Stylus is said to hit stores in Brazil this September and later in select regions of Asia, Middle-East, Africa and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). The new phone is also confirmed to make an appearance at the upcoming IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2014.

Price and availability of the LG G3 Stylus will be announced locally at the time of the launch, said the company.
