Earlier in the week, world smartphone leader, Samsung launched its third-generation Galaxy Note phablet in India. Now it's South Korean counterpart, LG is reportedly prepping to debut its flagship Smartphone 'LG G2' in the subcontinent by the end of this month.
LG has reportedly begun sending out invites to select media houses for an event scheduled on 30 September to officially launch the G2 in India, which is expected to hit shelves soon after, reported BGR.
The consumer electronics major had unveiled the LG G2 in New York last month (7 August). The company has so far released G2 in its home market, South Korea as well as North America (U.S.A) and is reportedly up for pre-order in UK. The LG smartphone is now getting ready to set foot in the world's third biggest smartphone market, India.
LG G2 flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD (1920x1080p) True-IPS LCD display with pixel density close to 424 ppi (pixels per inch). The screen is protected by an anti-scratch Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield.
Inside, LG smartphone packs a powerful 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor paired with Adreno 330 graphics engine and houses sumptuous 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory. (Also expected to come in 32GB model)
LG G2 sports a high-end 13.0-megapixel camera with LED flash support, OIS (Optical Image Stabilizations) and HDR (High Dynamic Range) features. It can record full HD 1080p video at 60 fps speed. In the front, it packs a 2.1-megapixel snapper. Like its South Korean competitor, Samsung; LG too has put some gesture control features on G2.
One feature that makes the LG G2 stand apart among its class is the power button and the volume rockers on the back panel, just below the main-camera.
Considering the pricing structure seen in US and UK retail shops, LG G2 may cost around ₹45,000 or more in India.
Apart from Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch, India also witness the launch of Sony's 20.7-megapixel camera smartphone, Xperia Z1 and SmartWatch 2.
