After launching company's high-end smartphone LG Optimus G into the Indian market, South Korean electronics major LG has reportedly announced that the new Optimus L-II smartphone series will soon hit stores of the sub-continent.
In an interview with online technology publisher KYMI (Know Your Mobile India), Steve Kohr, Director Mobile communication, LG India has reportedly said that entry level Optimus L3-II as well as high-end Optimus L7-II smartphones will hit Indian market in March and later Optimus L5-II will be arriving in April.
LG had unveiled the Optimus L-II series in the second week of February, but the smartphones were officially showcased at the recently concluded international mobile convention MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2013 in Barcelona, Spain.
Bouyed by the success of previous L series devices which made record 10 million sales within 10 months of their release, the South Korean company is leaving no stone unturned to make sure it strategically release the new smartphones in emerging markets like India, Brazil and other regions to continue the successful run of the Optimus L series.
Optimus L7-II sports a 4.3-inch WVGA touch-screen and runs on the Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS powered by a dual-core Qualcomm processor with 1.0Ghz CPU speed, where as the low-end smartphone sibling L3-II sports a bit smaller display- 3.2-inch QVGA IPS touch screen runs on the Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS powered by single-core processor with 1.0GHz clock speed.
Both Optimus L7-II and L3-II are expected to make their India debut soon but the prices of the devices is still not known.
