South Korean consumer electronics giant LG officially launched its flagship curved smartphone G-Flex in India on Wednesday.
The new G Flex phone, touted as the 'real-curved' smartphone, sports an ergonomically designed vertical curved body to minimise the distance between the phone's microphone and the user's mouth when held against the ear.
The device sports a 6.0-inch Curved Plastic-OLED HD (1280x720p) display and ships with Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, 13.0-megapixel main camera and a 2.1-megapixel snapper on the front.
Other mentionable features include power and volume rockers on the back-panel, a curved battery (Li-Polymer) developed by sister company LG Chem and a revolutionary self-healing back-cover. The glossy shell is made of elastic plastic material capable of self-fixing minor nicks and scratches within seconds. [Warmer the environment, faster the healing process]
LG G Flex will hit stores in February next year with prices ranging between ₹60,000 and ₹65,000, reported The Times of India.
The company has also announced the availability of the 55.0-inch full HD Curved OLED TV LG 55EA9800 for ₹9,99,000(MRP). It boasts of a four-colour (Red, Green, Blue & White) pixel display, unlike conventional LED TVs which feature three-colour pixel screen with RGB (Red, Blue and Green). [For more details, click here]
