Lenovo, on 9 January, announced its new budget Android smartphone A6000 at International CES 2015 and today it has started distributing invitations for the smartphone's official release.
According to FoneArena, this new device will be the A600 Android handset, which has already been tagged as Xiaomi Redmi Note smartphone killer.
On the exclusive press invitation, there is a smartphone screen visible with Speedtest app running on it. The display looks similar to what was seen yesterday at the CES release.
The new A6000 will feature Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system with a Vibe UI on top and features 4G connectivity. As Lenovo has already announced that it will to roll out the A6000 smartphone under ₹10,000, this smartphone will head on with the current budget Android smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Yu Yureka. Both the phone features 5.5-inch 720 display with 4G connectivity.
On the other hand, Lenovo A6000 boasts a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution support of 720x1280 pixels. Powered by a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with Adreno 306 GPU, the A6000 features 1GB worth RAM memory and 8GB on-board memory. Like its competitor's Lenovo A6000 also features a micro SD card slot for further memory expandability.
The Dual SIM smartphone also features an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera. Powered by a 2300 mAh battery, the A600 packs necessary 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The A6000 Android smartphone measures at 8.2g and weighs just 128g.
The Lenovo A6000 will be sold exclusively through e-commerce website Flipkart in India.
