Lenovo's sub-brand ZUK unveiled the feature-rich Z2, a generic model of the recently launched flagship Z2 Pro in Beijing on May 31.
Metal-clad ZUK Z2 flaunts a compact 5.0-inch full HD LCD screen with 2.5D curved glass cover and boasts a new generation U-Touch 2.0 fingerprint scanner with a super fast response time of less than 0.1 seconds, the company claims.
Under-the-hood, ZUK Z2 comes packed with Qualcomm's powerful Snapdragon 820 series quad-core SoC (System-on-Chip). It is aptly backed by 4GB RAM and sumptuous 64GB inbuilt memory and a 3500mAh battery, 500mAh more than its elder sibling.
ZUK Z2 also comes endowed with a feature-rich 13MP primary camera. It boasts of ISOCELL sensor, EIS, f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, PDAF+CAF (0.1 seconds autofocus), 5 physical lens, HDR, 4K video recording ability.
On the front, it houses a wide-angle lens-based 5MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Price and availability:
As per the company, Lenovo ZUK Z2 will go on sale next week on June 7 via a flash sale in China for ¥1799 (around $273/€245/Rs. 18,403). Prospective buyers can register for the new phone starting today.
As of now, there is no word on when the ZUK Z2 will be made available in other markets.
