Lenovo launched its premium smartphone, Z2 Plus, in India on Thursday, putting final end to rumours surrounding the new device. Lenovo revealed that Z2 Plus will start at an effective price of Rs 17,999 for the 3GB + 32GB model and Rs 19,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant. But Amazon is hosting a Lenovo-sponsored contest through which anyone can stand a chance to win a Z2 Plus.
This contest, termed as "Spot the Fact", is exclusively available on Amazon's mobile application and participants must download the app to participate. The contest runs for a limited time. It started at noon on Thursday and will end at 8 pm.
The rules of the contest are pretty simple. As the name of the contest suggests, Amazon will display 10 Lenovo fact cards every hour during the contest period. Then, the position of the fact cards will be shuffled every hour and customers must find the fact cards in order to earn points. Each fact card will have different points value, ranging from 50 to 1,000, and participants get to select a maximum of 80 cards during the contest period.
The winners will be chosen through a random lucky draw, which will be made up of the top 10 per cent of the highest point earners. Only ten participants will be selected as winners, who will then receive an email from Amazon with a contest question. Once the participant answers the question correctly and follows other instructions in the email, he/she will be entitled for a brand new Lenovo Z2 Plus.
The contest rules do not reveal whether the winners will get the entry-level 3GB RAM variant of Z2 Plus or the high-end model, but it is certainly worth the effort. The winners will be announced on October 7, who will then receive their Z2 Plus on or before December 31.
Lenovo Z2 Plus is quite a worthy device for its price. It features a 5-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 820 chipset, a 13MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and an 8MP front snapper. It boasts a multi-functional home button, which also has a fingerprint scanner integrated in it.
Z2 Plus has a pretty compact design with a reinforced allow rollcage and a fibre-glass coating on the outside. Under the hood, it has a 3,500mAh battery and supports 4G, VoLTE and carrier aggregation. The handset goes on sale exclusively on Amazon India on September 25 and comes in white and black hues.
