Chinese PC maker Lenovo has confirmed that the company will start rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat updates for its Vibe X and Z smartphones in India from the last week of May 2014.
The latest Kitkat update will bring in enhancement like bug fixes, security improvement, better application compatibility and improved camera performances in the Vibe X smartphone.
In addition to this, the Vibe X will also get new UI. On the other hand, the changelog of Vibe Z smartphone reveals that the Android Kitkat update will boost the UI transitions and the performance beside the smoother 4k video playback compatibility, multi-window mode and automatic profile changer.
Meanwhile, Lenovo has cut the price of its Vibe X smartphone in India from ₹25,999 to ₹22,999. It sports a 5.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) IPS wide-angle (180-degree) viewing display with pixel density of 441 ppi (pixels per inch) and currently shipped with Android v4.2 Jelly Bean with Lenovo's custom UI.
It is powered by 1.5GHz MediaTek quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory. It houses 13.0-megapixel main camera, 5.0-megapixel front camera with wide-angle (84-degree) lens and a 2000 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. The phone measures 144x74x6.9mm.
On the other hand, Lenovo Vibe Z sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and comes with Android v4.3 Jelly Bean, run by 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 series CPU, Adreno 330 graphics card, 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory. The other features of the Lenovo phablet include 13.0-megapixel main camera, 5.0-megapixel-fixed focus front camera and 3000 mAh battery. The smartphone is retailed at price point of ₹33,999 in the country.
