Lenovo has finally started sending out invites for the launch of its photography centric phone Vibe Shot. Though Lenovo Vibe Shot was slated to be launched last month, plans did not materialise due to some unknown reasons. In the invitation email for the press, the Chinese smartphone maker has mentioned the date of the event as 22 September.
Originally launched in MWC event at Barcelona, the Vibe shot offers handful of camera features which several smartphones lack. Vibe Shot looks like a compact point-and-shoot camera from the back and comes with a dedicated physical shutter and a pro mode button. The device also packs a tri LED flash on the rear to provide optimum lights in a dark environment.
The 16MP rear camera mount offers optical image stabilisation and plethora of modes, which might amaze any amateur photographer. For example, the light painting feature can easily be achieved through a bigger lens substitute but when it comes to smartphone it's a tad complex to achieve. Vibe Shot also packs a 8MP camera on the front for clicking selfies and making video calls.

Lenovo vibe shot boasts a 5-inch, 1080x1920 pixels IPS LCD display with a pixel density count of 441 PPI. For protecting the display, Vibe Shot also packs Corning Gorilla Glass 3 mounted over the display.
Under the hood, Vibe shot packs an octa-core Snapdragon 614 SoC backed with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The device also offers memory expandability with a maximum capacity of 128GB.
We haven't received any update about the pricing of the device yet, but Lenovo spokesperson Anuj Sharma told us in the previous event that "the device is not going to be cheap," which translates that Vibe Shot is expected to be launched under Rs. 20,000 to compete with recently launched Moto X Play which is going to be the key competitor of the device.
Extending its loyalty towards its exclusive India seller, Vibe Shot is expected to be another Flipkart exclusive device.
