Chinese consumer electronics giant Lenovo has confirmed that it will launch the new camera-oriented smartphone, dubbed as Vibe Shot, in India on Tuesday (22 September)
Besides the feature-rich camera, Lenovo Vibe Shot comes with impressive processor, high capacity battery and other hardware. If the company succeeds in pricing the device in the right range for price-sensitive Indian market, Vibe Shot will disrupt the mid-range smartphone category like its sibling K3 Note did in the budget segment.
To provide a better perspective on the upcoming Vibe Shot, we will briefly describe the five key attributes of the Lenovo phone to help you make an informed decision:
Camera:
As the name suggests, marquee feature of Lenovo Vibe Shot is its camera. It boasts 16mp camera with Tricolor flash, BSI (16:9) sensor to capture high quality true-colour photos under low light conditions. It also features infrared autofocus, which is said to be 2X quicker than normal autofocus. The camera also comes equipped with 6-piece lens to bring more clarity to the image. Optical Image stabilisation will further enhance the steady shots image quality up a notch.
And on the front, it houses an impressive 8mp wide-angle lens, so the user can capture panoramic selfies and it is capable of taking full HD videos as well.
Processor:
Lenovo houses the 64-bit class-based Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), manufactured by industry leader Qualcomm.
The advantage of having 64-bit processor is that the phone's performance and RAM management will be more optimised and efficiently used among the apps. The users are less likely to face lag during multi-tasking.
Snapdragon 615 chip comes with H.265/High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC), which enables faster computational operations. It is aptly backed by Adreno 405 graphics engine and 3GB DDR3 series RAM and huge 32GB inbuilt storage.
Battery:
Almost all apps in the android ecosystem have the notoriety of hogging huge amount of phone's power resulting in short battery life. Well, Lenovo has tried to address this issue in the new Vibe Shot. The company has incorporated 3000 mAh battery (2900 mAh in select region), which is capable of keeping the running for close to 30 hours of talktime and close to 19 days under standby mode.
4G-LTE:
With 4G Category 4 support, the users can download files with 150 mbps speed and upload files with 50mbps.
[Note: Internet speed depends on network carrier's service and regions]
Display:
Lenovo Vibe Shot sports a 5.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield. With pixel density of more than 440 ppi (pixels per inch), the phone promises rich viewing experience on the screen. Watching a movie or a sitcom on the phone during long distance travelling will be a delight. The use of metal-finish chrome frame brings out the premium feel.
