Lenovo plans to unveil a new smartphone in India on 23 November. The Lenovo Vibe S1, with primary focus on selfie lovers, will be released at an event in New Delhi.
The Lenovo Vibe S1 is not a complete mystery as it was originally launched at the IFA 2015 in September. The handset's main USP is the front facing dual camera set up featuring 8MP and 2MP, sensors respectively. The higher-resolution lens captures the image while the 2MP sensor adds depth-of-field to the image by blurring the background, much like in DSLRs. This is the first such set in a front camera while a similar technology has been seen in rear cameras of several other smartphones.
As for other specifications, the Lenovo Vibe S1 is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, 3GB RAM and comes with 32GB expandable memory. The handset has a 5-inch Full HD display, a glass-back design with metal frame, 2,500mAh battery and measures 7.8mm thick, BGR reports.
On the rear side of the device, there is a 13-megapixel camera sensor with dual-tone flash. The Lenovo Vibe S1 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE speeds.
Available in Pearl White and Midnight Blue colours, the Lenovo Vibe S1 is expected to be priced at around Rs. 20,000.
