Lenovo concluded the first day sale of its ultra-affordable Vibe K5 smartphone in India on Wednesday with a striking response from buyers. The company hasn't revealed how many handsets were available during the sale, but the entire stock was emptied out within a short duration of time.
During the first flash sale for the Vibe K5, the company had offered a special Golden Bundle offer, where buyers could order the gold Vibe K5 and get the ANTVR headset for Rs. 699. This offer was not valid on silver or grey models that were also on sale on Wednesday.
Due to limited handsets, not everyone got to successfully order the device, but that doesn't mean there won't be another chance. Lenovo Vibe K5 will be available once again next Wednesday at 2 p.m. on June 29 in a new flash sale exclusively on Amazon India. Registrations are mandatory and interested buyers must register before the sale.
The demand for the Vibe K5 smartphone is understood. For Rs. 6,999, it comes with impressive features. It is pitted against some of the best sellers in the market such as Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, Meizu m2, Coolpad Note 3 Lite and Swipe Elite Plus.
In terms of specifications, Lenovo Vibe K5 sports a 5-inch HD display with 294ppi, a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 octa-core processor, Adreno 405 GPU for graphics and 2GB RAM.
The handset offers 16GB onboard storage and an option to expand up to 32GB using the microSD card. It also supports dual SIM and high-speed 4G LTE bandwidths and one of the few devices in the market that offer a metal frame at its price. Lenovo Vibe K5 is available in gold, silver and grey colour options.
The Vibe K5 sports twin speakers Dolby Atmos for enhanced audio experience and also features FM connectivity in addition to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The smartphone is powered by a 2,750mAh battery, which the company claims lasts up to 32 hours on 2G talk time, 12 hours on music playback or 6.2 hours on video playback. For the VR fans, the Vibe K5 supports TheaterMax technology for immersive virtual reality experience via AntVR headset, which is sold separately.
